That's why we offer family support to help you with all aspects of Educational Health & Care Plans, appealing decisions, completing forms such as DLA and PIP, and attending meetings to advocate for your young person. What We Offer
We specialise in providing support with Parent requests for an EHC Needs Assessment to the LA. Our team is dedicated to guiding and supporting you through the entire EHCP process, ensuring that you obtain the right support for your child/young person.
If you have received notification from the local authority that they have decided not to assess following your Parental request for an EHC Needs Assessment application, we can help you determine the appropriate steps to move forward. Our team of experts can provide guidance and support to ensure that you receive the necessary assistance for your needs.
If the local authority has notified you that they are not going to issue an EHCP, we understand that this can be a difficult situation. We can provide you with information on all the options available to you and offer support as you navigate this difficult and frustrating time.
Our mediation meeting support is to facilitate constructive conversations between families and local authorities, with the help of a mediator from a mediation service. We always prioritise the best interests of your family while advocating for the support you deserve.
We offer experienced tribunal support representing our families case with professionalism and empathy. Our team has the legal qualifications and experience to represent your family during this daunting time. We will be with you every step of the way, providing reassurance and support.
We can help you with your annual review process. Our team can review any reports you've had over the past 12 months and ensure that your plan reflects the correct needs and provisions. We'll even attend the meeting with you and your school to make sure that any amendments are correct based on evidence. Let us take the stress out of your annual review process.
We provide a service to review and annotate draft EHC Plans, either following a 'yes to issue' or an annual review. We will ensure that all necessary needs and provisions are included. This process can be very overwhelming, if you have any particular requests or enquiries, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Our team can guide you through the process and inform you of the evidence you will need to support your application. We will complete the forms on your behalf, following a telephone consultation and write a covering letter. Additionally, we can support with Mandatory Reconsiderations and appeals, but please note that we cannot represent you at an appeal hearing.
Our educational workshops offer valuable insights and practical guidance for families navigating the SEND process. We believe in supporting families by giving them knowledge and resources to effectively advocate for their children's educational needs.

Support for SEND (formally Solihull SEND Consultancy) is managed by Helen Ingham. The company was set up as Solihull SEND Consultancy in October 2016 to try and make a difference to families in Solihull that were finding it more and more difficult to access the ever dwindling free services available to them.
